Alison took over Protec Physio in 2014 and is the practice director and Senior Physiotherapist. She has over 30 years’ experience in assessing and treating general musculoskeletal disorders. Alison has a particular interest in chronic musculoskeletal disorders, wear and tear related problems and Occupational Health Physiotherapy and is the lead Physio for our Occupational Health Contracts. Alison provides Physio sessions in Porthmadog, along with delivering a number of on-site Occupational Health clinics for large organisations.

Fflur is an experienced Physiotherapist who graduated in 2008 from the University of Salford. She spent 15 years working within the NHS, gaining extensive clinical experience across a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions before moving into full-time private practice at Protec.
With a strong sporting background, Fflur has a particular passion for sports rehabilitation. Having played a variety of team sports and representing Wales at Under-16 level in rugby, she understands first-hand the physical demands of sport and the importance of effective, goal-focused rehabilitation.
Committed to ongoing professional development, Fflur has completed numerous postgraduate courses to provide specialised services including detailed running assessments and acupuncture. She is also a qualified Mat and Reformer Pilates instructor and serves as the lead Pilates instructor at Protec, integrating Pilates-based rehabilitation into her treatment approach to support strength, control and injury prevention.

Owain Roberts

Owain Roberts

Owain, who is local to Porthmadog, qualified from Keele University in 2017 and has since been working for Betsi Cadwaladr NHS Trust and now specialises in musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics and sports injuries.
Owain has a passion for rehabilitation, as he has experienced several injuries himself so understands the challenges of acute and persistent conditions.

Fflur's Mum, Wena, provides us with admin assistance and support and may be who you speak to first if you have been referred to us from your Employer.

Megan Houghton

Megan Houghton

Megan qualified in 2019 and joined the Protec team in 2022. Megan is passionate about treating musculoskeletal injuries and believes that everyone should be treated with a holistic approach. Megan enjoys promoting a healthy lifestyle, and likes to set an example to her patients.

Mr Tim Peck

Tim graduated with Distinction in 2021 from Bangor University’s Post Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy. Tim is a keen rock climber who understands how it feels to be injured. He has a passion for helping people get back to doing what they love most, whether that’s climbing, or any other sport or outdoor activity. Tim believes in empowering people to self-manage and take control of their injury or issue.
